We
all came to together as a group for the first day of filming. We ensured the
camera was fully charged and had enough memory to avoid any problems. Lateshia
(our actress) was informed of what to wear for filming.
We
have started to record the music in chronological order therefore the first
location was inside. In the music video the girl runs away from her troubled
home, we wanted to reflect this through the decor in the house to make it clear
to the audience. This meant we had to rearrange the bedroom we decided to film
in. We took the duvet off the bed and replaced it with a blanket and one pillow
without a case. All ornaments and decorative items were removed to give the
impression she’s from a poor background.
After
making some changes, and setting up the camera on the tripod we began to film. We
gave directions to Lateshia from our storyboard along with improvising some
shots. Lighting wasn’t on our side; the bed is situated under the window
therefore the natural light was making the camera not focus properly and the
room seemed dark. To try and improve the lighting situation we put the main
light on along with using the torch feature on our phones – it seemed to work!
The
time few by and in the end were only able to film the beginning of the bedroom
scene.
